Windows Phone 7 App Roundup 25 Jul 2011

In this episode of the Windows Phone 7 App Roundup we demonstrate five applications in 30 seconds each. These apps will keep you entertained, allow you to create rhythm tracks, and keep track of your exercise progress. To download these apps directly to your WP7 device, just click on the title of the application and the Zune software will automatically launch to the app in Marketplace. If you have the free Microsoft Tag app installed on your WP7 smartphone just snap a picture of the Tag image and the mobile Marketplace will navigate to that app.

Marathon – Trial and $0.99 full application

Keep track of your exercise and movement progress with Marathon. This app will record the duration, speed, incline and decline, and show you a map of where you have been. The charts will allow you to compare your previous tracks with your current tracks so you know how are progressing.

Stars 3D – Trial and $0.99 full application

If you like gazing at the stars but would like to know a little more about each of them, then Stars 3D is the prefect app for you. This app will show you perspectives based on Earth or the Sun. Just scroll across the galaxy to view constellations, distant stars, and planets. Click on one of the stars to see how far it is and view more information about that star.

Tones – A free application

Create rhythm tracks on your Windows Phone 7 just by clicking a few boxes. Select various boxes on the Tones grid to play a note that corresponds to that particular box. There are many instruments to choose from and even the ability to change the beats per minute.

Tumbler – A free application

Tumbler is one of the best free 2D games available for Windows Phone 7. The object of the game is to tumble a small rock inside a circle by rotating with your finger either left or right. Sounds simple enough, but the game is quite challenging and with each progressing level it becomes much more difficult.
