Samsung QWERTY Slider Outed; Headed To AT&T?

AT&T just released a list of Android smartphones it’s introduced this year, letting their owners know that upgrades to Gingerbread are in their future. It looks like we’ll soon have another handset for that list, as we’ve just gotten our first look at an unnamed Samsung Android that’s supposed to be coming to AT&T.

The QWERTY slider has a a four-row keyboard, with four hardware Android buttons (in addition to the four capacitive ones on the phone’s face). We can also make out a front-facing camera, but other than that, this phone’s hardware specs are a mystery.

This image may sport no AT&T branding (or Samsung, for that matter), but BGR reports that’s where the smartphone will end up, sometime in the next few months. From what we can see, at least, it’s a pretty smart-looking slider; the boxy GS2-like design looks far more professional than, for example, the SCH-i405 slider we’ve seen in the works for Verizon. If we’re lucky, we could see some GS2-level hardware inside, but any guesses would just be speculation at this point. Look for more on this model in the coming months.
