HTC Omega Rumored Specs Revealed

It looks like HTC’s Omega and Eternity are very much real Windows Phone 7 smartphones, with pics of cases designed for the pair showing up over the weekend. We had a rough idea of the Eternity’s specs from an earlier leak, but have still been putting the pieces together for the Omega. We can’t say how accurate this data is, or if it will change prior to the phone’s release, but a rumored spec breakdown for the Omega has arrived, giving us an idea of the phone’s capabilities.

We had heard that the Omega would have a 3.8-inch SLCD, which these figures back up. The smartphone is supposed to be powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 SoC, and include 512MB of RAM. We’re not sure in just what nations the Omega will end up, or if it will receive multiple radios, but the specs for this particular Omega paint it for Europe or Asia, with HSDPA on the 900 and 2100MHz bands.

As far as imaging goes, look for a rear eight-megapixel camera; no sign of any front-facer. There should be 16GB of internal flash storage, and of course, the Omega would ship with mango pre-installed.

All-in-all, sounds like pretty standard Mango-level WP7 hardware; anyone excited about this one?
