SwiftKey X Predictive Keyboard Free On Amazon Today
One week ago, we saw TouchType’s SwiftKey X on-screen keyboard leave beta and launch as a full-fledged app. To help promote downloads, TouchType started off offering the SwiftKey X for only $2, before it jumped up to its normal, $4 price tag. If you were on the fence about checking it out back then, right now may finally be the right time, with the app available for free on the Amazon Appstore for the rest of the day.
We would have brought word of the deal to you sooner, but you at least still have a few hours left to take advantage of this great offer. Even if you don’t end up digging SwiftKey X, you’re no worse for the download. Tomorrow it goes back up to the regular $4.
The software’s claim to fame is its predictive text engine, made all the more useful by analyzing messages you’ve composed to learn what words and phrases you like to use most. Then, while you’re typing, it’s on the lookout for you to use one again, ready with its suggestion.
It may feel weird to grant a keyboard app access to your private communications, but you probably let Google read all your email, anyway, so it’s a trade-off that you can likely rationalize far enough to feel comfortable with it.
