Nokia N9, the First Phone With Non-Destructive Photo Editing
After seeing the amazing pictures the Nokia N9 can take, the manufacturer is now advertising one of the phone’s features. According to Espoo, the N9 “is the first phone ever to feature something called non-destructive photo editing”.
What this means is that you can manipulate a picture as much as you’d like and still have the ability to revert to the original at any given moment. In the example given by Nokia, a picture is edited in terms of red-eye reduction, cropping, editing, brightness bump, etc., and then saved to the library. Once you open up the edited picture you’ll be presented with a button that reads “Reset to original”. It’s pretty self-explanatory, pressing the button will revert to the original, unedited version of the picture you’ve taken. That’s what Nokia calls non-destructive photo editing on the N9. Cool stuff!
