HTC Status First Impression (Video)

The HTC Status for AT&T is basically the same ChaCha that we’ve seen roll out across Europe. These “Facebook phones” are a bit of a bet for HTC: they’re, for the first time, tying hardware to a social networking website–Facebook. The Status features many software enhancements to make it work with the social networking site, plus a dedicated hardware button below the keyboard to help the user share different types of content on Facebook.

The hardware of the Status is high quality and well-designed. The keyboard reminds us of the HTC Snap, because it features well-spaced keys with just the right amount of tactile feedback. There’s a slight tilt to the Status which positions the screens closer to the user, plus it makes the smartphone feel better against your face when on a call.

We have a lot more coming up on the HTC Status for AT&T!
