What do the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and the Samsung Galaxy S 2 have in common? They’re both super thin and light, and both have fantastic displays that provide great contrast and excellent color reproduction. Beyond that, there are many differences. The Galaxy S 2 has a better spec sheet thanks to its dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, and additional storage. But the Arc is no slouch thanks to a pricetag that is $150 less than the Galaxy S 2. While the Arc is using the last-generation single core 1GHz Snapdragon processor, it’s one of the fastest devices to use this chip. Both devices are available unlocked from a variety of online retailers in versions that will work on AT&T’s network in the US. The Xperia Arc also comes with an HDMI connector, making it easy to connect to a projector or flat panel. Here’s a look at how the devices compare:

In the end we give the prize to the Galaxy S 2, but if you’re looking for a fantastic value, the Xperia Arc is a strong contender thanks to its much lower pricetag.
