Motorola Intros XT316 Dubbed ‘Fire’, ‘Spice Key’ For Some Markets
Motorola recently introduced a new Android smartphone codenamed XT316 which the manufacturer targets as the “Fire” in Europe and “Spice Key” in Latin America. The phone appears to be a budget phone with a full QWERTY keyboard and it is already available in China. It’s coming to Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Latin America starting mid-July and in Europe and Asia later this summer.
It sports a 2.8-inch low-resolution QVGA display, full QWERTY keypad, and Android 2.2 Froyo (upgradeable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread this autumn) for the XT316 and Gingerbread out of the box for the Fire and Spice Key. There’s also a three-megapixel camera on board, WiFi, GPS, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth and a 1420mAh battery. With these specs, the price tag has to be very low even though Motorola didn’t announce anything specific at the moment.
