iOS 5 Beta 3 And iTunes 10.5 Beta 3 Now Available To Developers

After a buggy couple of weeks with Beta 2, Apple has just released both iOS 5 Beta 3 and iTunes 10.5 Beta 3 to developers. It works on all the usual suspects, which are the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3rd and 4th Generation, iPad and iPad 2. The list of fixes and enhancements is endless, though it seems that issues like the availability of FaceTime and seemless Wi-Fi sync haven´t yet been fixed. We’ll update this post in case we confirm these work once we have it working on our devices. Update: FaceTime is now working, and Wi-Fi sync is working flawlessly so far.

Out of the known bugs, one important note is that iMessage users on Beta 3 will not be able to communicate with Beta 1 users, so it seems the upgrade may be necessary for some who have access to it. There also seem to be some bugs in Contacts syncing and also in custom ringtones working.

The minor enhancements include a new store button within the Music app for quick access, and also the ability to create folders within your email accounts. We’ll be all over it this week and keep you posted on how it goes on this week’s iReview.
