RIM Notifies Developers About BlackBerry App World 3.0 Update

RIM’s BlackBerry App World is missing some basic features like for instance a button that would allow the user to update all applications at once rather than going through the refreshes one at a time. Hopefully the upcoming version 3.0 will address this as well as other bugs and annoyances.

RIM has purportedly informed developers of the imminent BlackBerry App World 3.0 roll-out and, according to reports, will be taking down BlackBerry App World Vendor portal for maintenance today, between 2:00am and 6:00am (EDT). The maintenance will bring two additional fields for developers to fill out: a “Short Description” of no more than 50 Characters including spaces and a “Feature Image” no larger than 1920 x 1186 pixels.
