T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide Waiting Until July 27 To Launch?

T-Mobile announced the myTouch 4G Slide last week, a big upgrade over the existing hardware in the myTouch family of smartphones, with plans to launch the handset this month. The source apparently behind some of the launch dates we heard earlier today is still at it, continuing to come up with screenshots showing when some of this summer’s most anticipated smartphones are due to arrive. The latest to get the treatment is the MT4GS, but it’s not exactly good news.

The carrier had said we’d be able to get our hands on the MT4GS sometime in July, but it looks like it was talking about the very tail-end of the month. According to this leak, the Android would go up for sale on July 27.

There’s something a bit off with all this info, like how the Thrill 4G was called just the Thrill, and now the MT4GS is still referred to as the HTC Doubleshot. It’s not that we think these are fake, but they certainly seem to come from some 3rd party retail partner that may not have the most direct tap into what’s going on at all the carriers. If anything, take this date as a guess for when brick-and-mortar sales of the MT4GS may kick off, but be aware that there may be more to the story we don’t know yet.
