Native Screenshots, Touch Zoom Coming to CyanogenMod

According to Cyanogen himself, a few new features were just added to the CyanogenMod core.

“… Arcee implemented screenshotting (via long-press power) and I brought back touch-focus on HTC cameras…”

Screenshotting is one of those features that you don’t really need to have, until you absolutely need to have it (writing reviews comes to mind). It’s nice to see that my favorite custom-ROM will be getting this feature built-in in the not-too-distant future.

Touch-focus is a blessing. You don’t have to worry about your camera trying to focus and refocus while you’re trying to frame your shot, nor do you have to wait for your camera to focus after you press the shutter button, potentially causing you to miss your shot. Alas, it’s only available for HTC cameras. Not to worry, NVidia cameras are on the radar.

“…Need to figure out how the focus zones work on NVidia cameras now.”
