HTC Sees Record Revenue for June, Keeps Growing

At the end of April HTC announced that it sold 9.7 million smartphones the first quarter of 2011 with record high quarterly revenues of NT$104.16bn ($3.63 billion) and net profits of NT$14.83bn ($517.21 million).

According to the most recent numbers, HTC keeps growing as it sees new record numbers for month June: revenue of NT$45 billion (roughly US$1.55 billion) for the past month, beating May with 10.9%. This marks the third consecutive month for HTC with a new record and results in Q2 numbers of NT$124.3 billion (around US$4.2 billion), beating Q1 with 19.43%.

According to estimates, HTC shipped 11.6 million phones in the second quarter, 1.9 million more than in the first quarter of the year. HTC has projected a total sales number of 50 million units for this year (with 21 million units for the first half) and the addition of the new HTC Sensation, EVO 3D, Salsa and ChaCha just might help with the numbers.

We’re yet to see what HTC has in store for Q3 and Q4 in terms of both Android and Windows Phone Mango smartphones but the Taiwanese manufacturer is definitely on its way to becoming the world’s fourth smartphone vendor.
