HTC EVO 3D GSM Given Premium Price at Amazon UK

The international GSM version of HTC’s EVO 3D, available later this month, has been put up for pre-order by Amazon UK at the premium price of 570 pounds, or around $915. The similarly-spec’ed HTC Sensation, while lacking the latest EVO’s 3D capture and playback, retails for 500 pounds from Amazon (prior to any discounts), which is about $800. Stateside, Sprint’s EVO 3D can be had for $549 off-contract, or $200 with a two-year commitment.

It’s not unusual for HTC’s top-of-the-line devices to fetch a hefty price unlocked in Europe, but with similar handsets now available in the US at the same time as or even earlier than their overseas counterparts, the price disparity has become more apparent. And with the latest phones — like the Sensation 4G — supporting worldwide bands out of the box, we may soon be seeing overseas enthusiasts importing hot phones from the US instead of vice versa.
