Nokia Planning On Manufacturing 125k Windows Phones This Year?

We recently heard from Victor Saeijs, Vice President of Nokia Europe — who was taking part at the 2011 Mobile Telecompaper conference — that Nokia Windows Phones will be shipping to six European countries first this year.

Eldar Murtazin, the one who always seems to know a little bit of inside information, already confirmed the information when he tweeted that Windows Phones from Nokia will come to Russia as part of an initial total five-to-seven European countries. Additionally, he claimed that Nokia is planning on manufacturing 125,000 Windows Phone-powered smartphones until the end of this year.

Even though countries will not get the same amount of Windows Phones, let’s just suppose for a second that they will. Going with the initial six-country number that would make less than 21,000 Nokia Windows Phones per launch country this year. What do you think of this number? High, low or just about right?
