While this is far from being a major release it’s definitely an improvement in the big picture of Google and its mapping solution offered for Android-powered smartphones. Google Maps has been updated to version 5.6.0 bringing more ratings.

The changelog for the release is rather short as the new version of Google Maps adds “Best Ever” ratings to Place pages. Additionally, it also brings restaurant awards so if you like eating out, you can take a snak of a restaurant you find nearby using the application and rate your meal or service as a “Best Ever”. As you’d expect, the application is free and available in the Android Market where you can download from — or use the Android Market on your smartphone to update in case it didn’t self-download and install.
