Thumb Keyboard for Android (Video)

We’ve recently shown you some alternate keyboards for Android, this time we’d like to show you Thumb Keyboard (which recently came out of beta). This keyboard looks pretty much like every other traditional soft keyboard, but it’s got a really cool feature hiding up its sleeve.

This keyboard is specifically designed to bridge the gap between smartphones and tablets and does so by letting you “split” the keyboard in half to make it easier and more ergonomic to type on using just your thumbs.

It’s much faster for me to type on in landscape layout than traditional soft keyboards, but still not as fast as using the physical keyboard on the T-Mobile G2.
