Verizon Thunderbolt MR2 ROM Update Leaked, Fixes Resets

The Verizon Thunderbolt met its update which unfortunately introduced a nasty reset bug users encountered, restarting the phone when they least wanted it. Verizon then planned for a fix which is supposedly coming the second half of this month.

From Android Police comes a leak of the Verizon Thunderbolt MR2 (Maintenance Release 2) software update. According to the info, it should be rolled-out to stock Thunderbolts on June 15 over-the-air it should fix random resets, improve signal strength, GPS lock and add a 3G/LTE toggle switch, in addition to some more goodies. An un-rooted stock MR2 update as well as a rooted custom ROM running MR2 update are available to download for those who have itchy fingers and can’t wait five more days for the ROM to be distributed via the usual channels.
