Huawei Vision Is A High End Android Smartphone, Coming To UK
Huawei is, along with ZTE that recently got approved as an official Windows Phone OEM, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer — among others — and is currently preparing a high-end Android smartphone that will arrive to the U.K. this year.
According to Victor Xu, chief strategy and marketing officer at Huawei, the Vision will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread with the possibility of upgrade to Ice Cream sandwich in Q4 and will sport a 3.7-inch display (around WVGA), most likely a 3D one. The 3D bit comes in relation with V3 that was granted an early look at a prototype with the occasion of a recent press event in London showing Huawei’s own, custom 3D interface.
The Vision will likely land in the U.K. in the second half of this year and will cost anywhere between £250 and £400 (around $412-$660). Other rumored specs include a five-megapixel camera with HD video recording capability, a front facer and the processor powering it is said to be one of 1GHz.
