HTC Droid Incredible Gingerbread ROM Leaks

A test build of Gingerbread for the HTC Droid Incredible was posted by the elusive 911sniper today, allowing a glimpse of what’s upcoming for the smartphone. Curiously, the ROM is running HTC Sense 1.0, lacks a Gingerbread keyboard, and the new screen-off animation used in Gingerbread. HTC’s Droid Incredible currently officially runs Froyo and is also capable of running a very preliminary Honeycomb.

The original post by 911sniper contained the firmware in an un-flashable form, which was then processed by TMartin03 and rmk40 at XDA into a flashable ROM. The ROM is running Android 2.3.3 and is rooted with busybox and several updated APKs. A newer radio, version 2.15.10.05.06 is also included with the Gingerbread ROM, and reported working well on several devices.

With the updated kernel, libraries, and other components made available in this ROM we will see updated custom ROMs built from the new source made available as well. The flashable ROMs are available at the XDA links below. Also available is the Radio ROM only for this build, flashable separately from the Gingerbread ROM, and verified working on CM7 and other custom ROMs for the Droid Incredible.
