Motorola, Verizon Launch the Motorola Droid X2

Plenty of Motorola Droid X2 stories lately if you’ve been following us and it looks like it all becomes official today as Motorola and Verizon announce the Motorola Droid X2, follow-up to the popular Droid X.

Verizon’s first dual-core smartphone sports a 1GHz dual-core CPU, a 4.3-inch scratch-resistant and anti-reflective qHD display, eight-megapixel camera with continuous autofocus and HD video capture capability, HDMI-out, Mobile Hotspot capability for up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices, SWYPE software input and is powered by Android 2.2 Froyo, to be updated to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

The Motorola Droid X2 will be available online starting tomorrow, May 19, and in stores starting May 26 for $199.99 with a new two-year customer agreement and Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan and a smartphone data package
