We already heard rumors of the LG Optimus Black becoming available sometime this week in the UK and we were asking ourselves when the smartphone will arrive to the U.S. Market.

According to LG’s press release, the Optimus Black, introduced at this year’s CES in January, should be available “globally across six continents beginning in Europe before heading to North America and Asia”. The press release also assures us that the Optimus Black “will make its international debut in Europe later this month” so it’s safe to assume that it should pop up on one of the U.S. carrier’s sometime in June.

56 network carriers from 50 different countries have already pre-ordered the LG Optimus Black but which U.S. one (or maybe more) will be the carrier/s for the smartphone in North America is yet unknown. The LG Optimus Black a features a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, five-megapixel main camera with auto-focus and LED flash, front-facing two-megapixel webcam plus everything you can expect from such an Android 2.2 Froyo powered device.
