LG Pursues Guinness Record for First Dual-Core Phone

When LG launched the LG Optimus 2X smartphone back on December 16, they announced it as the world’s first dual-core smartphone and it looks like they’ve got just the right award to prove it.

The Korean smartphone manufacturer received the Guinness World Records Certificate for the LG Optimus 2X, “the first mobile phone to use a dual core processor”. Of course ever since, in just less than five months, we tend to look at dual core smartphones as a rule, a must and a standard but, as always, there has to be a first and that’s what Optimus 2X was.
