Verizon Creates Windows Phone Forum; Is HTC Trophy Nearly Here?

Where, oh, where is the HTC Trophy on Verizon? Since NoDo’s arrival, we’ve been expecting the CDMA Windows Phone 7 smartphone to launch with the carrier, but it’s yet to show itself. Although circumstantial, we’re starting to see a couple pieces of evidence that suggest that Trophy may be nearly here at last.

We’ve already seen a Trophy promotional offer for Microsoft employees get delayed, now extending until early May, which would mean the phone would have to come out very soon if anyone’s to take advantage of the deal. Then just yesterday we saw the Trophy in Best Buy’s computers, though were unconvinced if it actually meant the phone was soon to be released, or if the company was just getting things in order for a lunch further into the future.

Now Verizon has erected a discussion forum specifically for Windows Phone devices. Of course, such a forum isn’t much use without the Trophy (not to mention HTC Pro) to go along with it, signaling that the phone’s release may be imminent.

Lastly, we’ve heard from a tipster that Verizon’s been distributing the May round of brochures to its retail locations, and they make all indications that the HTC Trophy is already available for sale. Could the phone’s release finally be coming in the next few days? It’s looking increasingly likely.
