Motorola Droid Bionic Delayed Due To Improved Form Factor?

The Motorola Droid Bionic was introduced with the occasion of this year’s CES and we even got a hands-on with the device. Then, despite the fact that the smartphone has not been cancelled, but only delayed, pages were pulled from the Motorola website.

There’s a page now up on Motorola’s website which could fool many if you consider the date at the top (January 5). If you ignore the date and the first paragraph, you’ll find out that the Droid Bionic will launch this summer on Verizon. Why all the wait? “Based on compelling feedback since the show, we are incorporating several enhancements to make this an even better consumer experience. This includes expanded features, functionality and an improved form factor. Motorola Mobility and Verizon Wireless are very excited about bringing the ‘new’ DROID BIONIC to market.”

Whether the “new” Motorola Droid Bionic will be something we’ve never seen before or actually be the Motorola Targa we’ve seen leaked at the middle of March is yet unknown but what we do know is that a “new” Droid Bionic is on its way to Verizon this summer. Forget the “old” one.
