BlackBerry Bold ‘Touch’ 9900 Gets Wi-Fi Certs; 5GHz Confirmed

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 has just received its Wi-Fi certification, confirming the secondary 5.0GHz 802.11n band which was a part of that alleged leaked spec sheet. If that document is to be believed, the so-called Bold Touch will feature a single-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon CPU, 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen, five-megapixel camera with flash and 720p video capture, and 14.4Mbps HSPA+ cellular data speeds.

According to BGR, only the 9900 — codename Dakota — will be revealed at the upcoming BlackBerry World conference, among the three or so handsets which have been heavily leaked in the last few months. Unless we start seeing some more BlackBerries in the certification databases, we’ll assume that to be so.
