Motorola Droid X and Droid X^2 Compared (Images)

Motorola Droid X successor Droid X^2 has been making appearances on the internet from months now and there’s not much that we do not know about this particular device. As the leaked press shots have already revealed, the Droid X^2 will look almost identical to its predecessor and will feature the same shape and design that it has inherited from the original Droid X. We know plenty about this new and unannounced smartphone so we have decided to compare it with the device it will end up replacing, i.e the Droid X.

Motorola Droid X (left) and Droid X^2 (right) feature identical physical appearances, both the devices have the same design and as we have reported earlier Motorola has fabricated its external enclosure using the same parts as the Droid X so there’s not much to talk about there.

One thing that differentiates the externals of both the devices is that the Droid X has a dedicated camera button on the right side whereas Motorola has ditched that button from the Droid X^2.

As you can see in the specs comparison below, the rumored specs indicate that the Droid X^2 will have a higher processor than its predecessor, Droid X^2 features a 1.2GHz Dual-Core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 786MB of RAM, although it has the same 4.3-inch screen but it sports a higher qHD (960 x 540) resolution than Droid X that has a WVGA display. The rumors suggest that the Droid X^2 has the same 8-megapixel camera as its predecessor and it can also do 720p HD video capture. It has Micro HDMI just like the Droid X.
