Motorola Droid X Google Android Gingerbread Update Rooted

Verizon has pushed out the over-the-air Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for the Motorola Droid X and it didn’t take long until it got rooted.

If previously there were some questions about root involving different builds being pushed out, P3Droid from Team Black Hat has now confirmed on Twitter that the system has been rooted. While Superuser access was achieved by the team, there’s currently no public solution available at the moment — though we’re pretty sure it’s just a matter of days until everyone can grab one.
