Samsung Galaxy S II Scores An Initial 3,000+ On Quadrant

The Samsung Galaxy S II will be shipping with a 1.2GHz processor according to Samsung — and it will land on May 1 in the UK — and that processor there just scored an amazing 3,053 on a Quadrant benchmark.

Yes, we know some of you might argue with the accuracy of Quadrant when it comes to dual-core processors but it’s the only bit of info we could find, and it’s a great one. Back in the days of MWC, the LG Optimus 3D scored 2,958 but Samsung looks to be upping the ante with its own Exynos 4210 CPU at 1.2GHz (ex-Orion) and aided by the Mali-400 MP GPU — or was Eldar Murtazin running it on the GT-I9103 powered by nVidia Tegra 2 and ULP GeForce GPU?.
