HTC Pyramid Shows Up On First Blurry Picture [Update]

Shortly after showing up on Telstra Australia’s system, we saw a couple of renders of the HTC Pyramid with its alleged 1.2GHz processor and large, 540 x 960 qHD display.

It didn’t take long for Mr. Blurrycam to step in as a picture of the HTC Pyramid, its back to be more specific, showed up on the Greek Techblog. Placed next to an HTC Desire HD, the Pyramid shows off its dual-LED flash-enabled eight-megapixel camera — pretty much like its older cousing to the right. While the render was slightly different in the upper left camera region, the rest of the device looks to be the same, only that the Google branding in the graphic is replaced with the HTC company logo. Shouldn’t take long now until we see the front too and even the device itself at this week’s CTIA.

Update: Looks like it didn’t take long for that certain blurry picture to show the front of the Pyramid. There you have it with the Desire HD. You can see the front-facing webcam on the right of the speaker and the sensors on the left. The top speaker grill looks to be curved (a la Desire S).

Interestingly, the display seems to be the exact size of the Desire HD, that is 4.3-inches but instead of the WVGA (480 x 800) resolution, the Pyramid sports a higher one — qHD, 540 x 960 — which makes the items on the screen look smaller while increasing the DPI value. We just need a hands-on with this baby now!
