Is The iPhone 5 Getting A Capacitive Home Button?

Images of the possible 5th Generation iPod Touch have been around lately, and one of the major changes everybody is talking about is that the home button is now capacitive. Surely some may debate whether the images are real or fake, but it’s sadly too early to confirm either possibility.

If the images are real, then it should be safe to assume that the next generation iPhone will land these features first. Apple could be searching for ways to make the screen larger by reducing the footprint of the home button, or just thinking of ways to evolve the design a bit. Either way, we’re still months away from any of this to be confirmed, so lets all pray that another Apple Engineer forgets a prototype at a bar soon!
