Kyocera Echo Device Simulator Posted
We weren’t super impressed with the admittedly-intriguing Kyocera Echo when we went hands-on at CTIA, but our main qualm at the time was the chintzy build quality of the device, specifically the patented hinge mechanism that connects the two screens. Well with Radio Shack’s new Echo simulator, you can experience all the fun of “simul-tasking” with none of the worry that your $200 investment is just one cracked plastic hinge away from a paperweight.
Build quality aside, the first transforming smartphone is bound to attract at least a few interested parties, and unlike your standard Android piece, this one has a learning curve for even the most seasoned user. Specifically, it’s not immediately clear how the native applications take advantage of the two displays, nor the gestures required to toggle between functions. Point being that this is one device which really makes the most of the simulator experience, so potential owners should probably check it out. Echo arrives April 17th.
