Verizon Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Passes FCC

The CDMA version of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play we recently reviewed has just passed FCC on its way to Verizon and should get there, according to the leaked roadmap, in approximately two weeks, that is April 14 to be more specific, if nothing changes.

Nothing really out of the ordinary here with the still “Zeus” codenamed smartphone. The bands are your typical CDMA 824MHz – 849MHz and 1850MHz – 1910MHz. The FCC page also has a link for the smartphone’s manual and there are a couple of internal photos of the handset which FCC tore down where you can notice the SIM slot still on the board, which could indicate GSM/CDMA support. Check them out at the source link.
