April Fools: Apple Silently Hires Some Dev-Team Members For iOS 5?

Well if you can’t beat them, might as well have them join you. Un confirmed reports mention that two Dev-Team members have silently been hired by Apple to collaborate on ways to improve both the iOS 5 user interface and also security. No word as to who these members are, but if the rumors are true, then things are slowly starting to fall into place.

Jailbreaking and reaching carriers unlock has become an impossible chore lately. Jailbreaks have now mostly initiated as tethered and have become a total pain for the community, and there are still four iPhone 4 basebands that have not been able to be unlocked. So the question is, if this Hacker was capable of intruding into an iPhone easily through a Mobile Safari exploit, then what could be holding the Dev-Team from using such exploits to do the same.

I can’t say money is a problem, since they’ve always been reluctant to charge for their work, but I guess everything could lead to a future without hacked iPhones.

Thanks for the tip Mark!
