T-Mobile Demos More Sidekick 4G Features (Video)

A couple weeks ago we saw T-Mobile’s Joe Fernandez, Project Manager for the Sidekick 4G, make a short video demo introducing the phone and showing off some of the color options. Joe’s back to show us a close look at the Sidekick, showing off some additional capabilities in a series of new videos.

Here Joe goes over the Media Room app, letting you search across YouTube, Slacker Radio, and other sources for information or artists you’re interested in. If you’re looking for TV and movies, the Samsung Media Hub has titles available for purchase and download.

Messaging functions include a groups mode for mass-texting, letting you coordinate activities amongst a bunch of people, with replies going out to everyone included. As a messaging phone focused on younger users, it’s no surprise to see the heavy Facebook and Twitter integration.

Lastly, Joe has a few words to say about Google services and Android in general, but it’s nothing new to an experienced smartphone user. He does point out the “jump” key the Sidekick will have, giving you a hardware control to switch between open apps.
