CyanogenMod 7 Gingerbread RC3 Now Available

CyanogenMod 7, an Android build based on the AOSP Gingerbread code, reached another milestone today: RC3.

A Release Candidate (RC) is just that, it’s a release of the code that could become final if no bugs are found. RCs should be usable as your daily driver, and in my experience, there’s no reason not to use CM7 RC3 on your phone.

There are no new features that have been mentioned in this build, nor are there any new devices supported. However, it is worth noting that rarely does a CyanogenMod build go thorough more than a few RC builds before the final version is released. That having been said, one could assume that CM7 final is likely just around the corner.

As I’ve mentioned previously, there are some things to keep in mind before making the jump from stock to CM7.

Okay, I’ve kept you reading long enough! Go and download what you need and get flashing!
