Qik Video Connect Allows iPhone To Android Video Calls

It seem’s the Qik’s Skype acquisition is beginning to show some positive signs of progress. Both companies have just announced a new Qik Video Connect service where iPhone 4 users and Android users who own devices with a front facing video camera will now be able to enjoy video chats over Wi-Fi and 3G. You’re also allowed to broadcast video live through your iOS and Android device and share this link with friends through Facebook and Twitter.

Surely Qik is not a true gem when it comes to video quality, but then again, it’s great to always have more options that take advantage of a front facing video camera on any device. The app is available both free and for a $3 price tag if you’re interested in HD video quality, video editing capabilities, real-time filters and effects. Just give the free version some time to get approved on the App Store to reach for it if you’re interested.
