LG Optimus 2X Rooted Before Market Availability

Officially launched back in December, LG Optimus 2X will be rolled out in Europe this month and according to rumors it will arrive to T-Mobile as the T-Mobile G2x.

It’s not uncommon for devices to get rooted before general availability — think Motorola Atrix 4G — and so, a MoDaCo user reports rooting the upcoming Optimus 2X with the SuperOneClick utility from XDA Developers. Looks like the root is permanent and you don’t have to re-root every time you restart your device. Additionally, a system and bootloader dump has been posted to XDA so expect to see some custom ROMs soon for this device.
