HTC HD2 Tops iPhone in Krusell’s Best Selling List

It’s kind of surprising to see the HTC HD2 increasing in popularity according to Krusell’s Top 10 selling phones for August 2010. The HD2 moved up to the number 3 spot, just above the Apple iPhone 4, and just behind the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S. It seems the Windows Mobile 6.5 HTC HD2 smartphone is still selling even though it’s been around for so long. Although, the iPhone 3G is still in the top 5 smartphones despite being around for a long time as well. It’s also interesting to note that the number 1 top seller in Krusell’s list is the Nokia 3720 Classic; a dumb phone.

Here’s the new full press release we received via email:

The list for the September sales of phone cases at Krusell shows a mix of impressions. On one hand we can see that even if everybody is talking about smart phones, there is still a lot of volume to catch in phones with less features like Nokia 3720, says Ulf Sandberg CEO at Krusell. At the same time, there is a lot of attention given to iPhone 4 and Samsung Galaxy.

As we are now getting closer to Christmas, I assume that we in the October list will have a pretty good forecast on what phone will be Santa’s favourite this year, Sandberg ends.
