Google Quietly Rolls Out App Statistics to Android Developers

Google has just released a new tool for developers who publish apps in the Android Market. Very much like Google Analytics for websites, app Statistics can prove to be an invaluable resource for developers to learn more about who uses their apps, helping to provide quantifiable date to direct future improvements and refinements.

The new statistics show the top ten values for attributes such as Android version, specific device by make and model, country from which the app was installed, and the language of the device upon which the app was installed. Some of the statistics even display a “Market All Apps” column which is essentially a snapshot of all apps in the Market so you can see how your device compares to the average.

The following screenshots show a real-world example of one of the apps developed by Milodroid.
