Official Formula 1 Application For iOS And Android Coming Soon

If you’re a Formula 1 motorsport fan, regardless of where you live, you’ll be happy to find out that the official F1 application for the 2011 season is coming soon to Android and iPhone.

Last year we told you about the Windows Mobile version of the app — which was a Java application — and in addition, there was a BlackBerry flavor too. This year, Android and iOS users will get dedicated applications to track driver and team performances via live timing. Additionally, iOS users will benefit from push notifications before the sessions begin, for results, news, classification and more. Push notifications will be initially available only for iPhone with other operating systems to follow.

The application will be free for registered users — registration is free though — and you will be notified via email when the software is available for your device. Follow the source link for details and registration.
