HTC 7 Mozart Official ROM With NoDo Update Leaks

Monday is winding down and we’ve yet to see the double-shot update for the Samsung Focus we heard rumored, combining both the pre-NoDo and the full NoDo release. While that leaves Samsung users disappointed for the time being, another avenue to NoDo has opened up, as what looks like an official ROM upgrade has been leaked for the HTC 7 Mozart.

Posted on the XDA-Developers forum, the update includes WP7 build 7355-89 and users have successfully installed it to update their Mozarts. From their reports, the software returns the phone to a clean installation, removing any carrier-specific branding that may have existed earlier.

The biggest component of NoDo is arguably the addition of copy-and-paste functionality. Not as obvious, but perhaps even more useful, are general speed improvements throughout the system. Apps should start and resume faster, a boon to heavy users. The process for discovering apps has its own set of enhancements, with context-sensitive searches delivering more appropriate results.

Brave Mozart owners can try running the update now, available over at XDA-D, but you may want to wait for a few more reports of successful installs to surface, in case any unexpected complications arise.
