Sprint Event Planned for March 22 at CTIA
January’s CES seems like a distant memory now, and the excitement of the MWC in Barcelona is already starting to fade. Luckily, March brings us the CTIA Wireless show in Orlando, with the pre-conference on the 22nd and wrapping-up on the 24th. Sprint will be there to kick off the festivities with some news of its own, as it’s sent out invitations for a press event scheduled for March 22.
The notices are unsurprisingly vague, with Sprint promising to show off “the latest in wireless innovation”. March will still be far too soon for the company to have news about its future 4G plans, but we don’t think we’d be too far off-base in expecting to hear about a smartphone or two.
Since Sprint just announced the HTC Arrive, we may not get any new Windows Phone 7 news, but there’s a good chance the carrier could have some Android devices to show off. Perhaps no more dual-screen setups, but dual-core would be nice, as well as some more WiMAX Android options.
Any guesses for what Sprint has up its sleeve? An EVO 4G follow-up? Heck, maybe even some webOS devices?
