LG Optimus 2X Will Be Rolled-out In Europe This Month

Officially launched back in December, the LG Optimus 2X was, at that time, the world’s first dual-core smartphone powered by nVidia’s Tegra 2 system-on-a-chip processor.

According to LG, the Optimus 2X will be rolled-out in Europe this month, shipping with Android 2.2 Froyo with a post-launch update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Besides the 1GHz Tegra2 processor, the smartphone sports a 4-inch WVGA screen, 8GB of internal memory expandable with up to 32GB using the microSD card slot, 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p recording capability, 1.3-megapixel front camera for self-portrait and video calling, HDMI mirroring, all powered by a 1,500mAh battery.

We’ve had some hands-on time with the LG Optimus 2X with the occasion of this year’s CES and we found the 4-inch screen to be quite impressive with great contrast, vivid colors, and crisp icons, while the body itself was thin and light. Anyone holding out for this beauty?
