Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread Brings Screenshot Support

That’s right, you no longer need to root your Android smartphone if it is running the latest Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread which has just started to roll out for the Nexus One and Nexus S.

While Windows Phone 7 users continue to remain bitter about screenshots not being a priority, as of the latest version of Android, this is possible due to some recent changes implemented. This does not mean that the screenshot capability is part of the platform but rather that stock users will be able to take screenshots using screenshot-taking applications taking advantage of the platform support. Wonder when Windows Phone 7 users will get that?
