Angry-Birds-Less BlackBerry Gets Its Own Knockoff With Angry Farm
Angry Birds for Windows Phone 7 is now officially on the way, but you may remember that one developer wasn’t content waiting for Rovio and Microsoft to get their acts together, and pushed out his own Angry Birds knockoff, Chicks’n’Vixens. Now it’s BlackBerry’s turn to join in the bootleg bird chuckin’ fun, with the release of Angry Farm.
Angry Farm is all about diversity, as your stable of birds now consists of pigs, cows, goats, and yes, still birds. Just like in the real version, each of these creatures has a special ability, and you’ll likely need to tap into all of them in order to complete the game’s 30 levels.
User reviews praise the game’s design (though we suppose that’s praise better directed at Rovio) and the fun factor, but note running in to some choppy frame rates and experiencing general sluggishness on some platforms.
At nearly $5, Angry Farm fetches a much steeper price than a legit copy of Angry Birds would on another platform, so you definitely will want to check out the free trial before you invest in it. The game supports BBOS versions from 4.7 on up, and will work whether or not your BlackBerry has a touchscreen.
