iOS 4.3 Rumored Ready; Will It Be The Only Release On March 2nd?
The iPad may not be precisely our bread and butter, but you’re most likely aware that Apple will have an event next week on March 2nd that screams iPad all over it. The only positive aspect for us Smartphone lovers is the fact that whatever happens to the iPad, most likely affects your iPhone. iOS 4.3 has roamed developers’ hands for the past weeks in beta releases, and it all points out to the possibility that it is ready for action, and will most likely be released on March 2nd’s iPad event.
As with most incremental updates, iOS 4.3 doesn’t bring much to the table, but the changes are important. We’re expecting the Wi-Fi Personal Hotspot feature to finally make it to GSM iPhones all around, hopefully including AT&T. We’re not going to cheer over Ping push notifications being included, but some rumors even have mobile gaming making it to the Apple TV with the possibility of your iPhone being a game control, so who could complain for that coming if it ever does, right?
Now, with so much tablet and smartphone OS competition all around through GingerBread and HoneyComb, we can’t help but think that Apple won’t stop at iOS 4.3. We do see Apple playing their “one more thing” game with the future of iOS through iOS 5 and some enhancements on MobileMe services. Again, these are just our speculations, but judging by how good competition is playing Pocker lately, my bets are on Apple holding a good hand for this event.
