NTT DoCoMo Unveils NEC Medias, Pink Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc

Just this Monday we heard of the NEC Medias N-04C, allegedly the world’s thinnest smartphone with its 7.7mm dimension — at least until someone else comes around and shaves off a couple of microns — rumored to be announced at a February 24 NTT DoCoMo Press Event.

The rumor turned out to be true as the Japanese operator has unveiled two very sleek devices: the NEC Medias N-04C Android Smartphone alongside the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc — measuring 8.7mm at its thinnest point –, very thin and sexy devices indeed.

The NEC Medias weighs only 105 grams and sports a 4.0-inch FWVA (480 x 854) screen, 5.1-megapixel camera, microSD card slot, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, Ir-Da and it is operated by Google Android 2.2 Froyo (with a possibility to upgrade to 2.3 Gingerbread in summer).

We already know about the Xperia Arc featuring a 1 GHz Qualcomm processor, 4.2-inch TFT Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA® Engine running FWVGA (854 x 480) resolution protected by shatter proof sheet on scratch-resistant mineral glass, 512 MB internal memory, 8GB microSD card supplied, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, DLNA support, HDMI port, 8.1-megapixel camera with Sony Exmor R™ capable of recording 720p video and a 1,500mAh battery. The version coming to NTT DoCoMo will be the pink one!
