Nokia Nuron 2 in the Wild, Sort of

As if we needed any more proof that T-Mobile was all ready to release Nokia’s C5-04 as the Nuron 2 before suddenly killing it without reason, along comes the FCC to provide the first (and probably only) in-the-wild shots of this Symbian^1-powered handset. Scheduled to launch on February 4th, the American version of the C5-03 got canned near the end of January, just a week after Nokia itself pulled the X7 Journey from rival carrier AT&T’s lineup.

Nokia now of course is in the midst of a major transformation, moving its entire smartphone lineup to Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform. Handsets such as the C5 would be considered low-end feature phones under the new structure, where Symbian and possibly MeeGo will take a backburner to Espoo’s newest flagship OS.
