Nokia’s Stephen Elop Answers Google’s Vic Gundotra On Twitter

Yesterday, when the Microsoft and Nokia bit was still just a Rumor, Google’s Vic Gundotra made a tweet which came as an early confirmation for many in which he stated, not talking about Angry Birds, that “two turkeys do not make an Eagle”.

After today’s joint Microsoft-Nokia press conference, Stephen Elop has responded to Gundotra’s tweet by saying that “Two bicycle makers, from Dayton Ohio, one day decided to fly”. The tweet refers to the Wright brothers who are “generally credited with inventing and building the world’s first successful airplane and making the first controlled, powered and sustained heavier-than-air human flight, on December 17, 1903”.

And while even turkeys have wings, it all comes down to keeping the faith and never ceasing to believe that one can fly. Microsoft and Nokia will need to show the world that they indeed can fly together as both companies, as well as many other people do believe they are ready for something big. Your thoughts?
